Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at all staff, particularly new starters in any workplace, where a basic understanding of health and social care settings is required. Learners gaining this qualification will cover topics such as the introduction to the prevention and control of infection, introduction to mental health awareness and communication in children’s services and adult social care settings.

Outcomes

These include introduction to the prevention and control of infection, introduction to communication in childrens services and adult social care settings, principles of personal development in childrens services and adult social care settings and introduction to mental health awareness.
