Who is this qualification for?

The TQUK Level 2 Award in the Prevention and Control of Infection provides learners with the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the prevention and control of infections including legislation, policies, systems and procedures relating to prevention and control of infections. Also covered are the importance of risk assessment and of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); the causes and transmission of infection; cleaning, good waste management practice and decontamination. It will prepare learners to progress to a qualification in the same or another subject area and prepare them for employment.
