Course Overview
Who is this qualification for?
The purpose of this qualification is to enable learners to acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills to handle various first aid situations in the workplace. The TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is specifically designed for individuals who are already employed or preparing to enter the industry.
Typically, the qualification consists of a three-day training and assessment program, equipping learners to become competent first aiders in their workplace. The recommended duration for the course is three days, and it should not be shortened unless additional learning needs are met. By completing this qualification, learners will enhance their understanding, knowledge, and proficiency in various areas, including the responsibilities of a first aider, assessing incidents, recognizing signs and symptoms of injuries and illnesses, providing assistance to casualties with major injuries or illnesses, addressing chest and spinal injuries, and handling anaphylaxis.
The objectives of this qualification are to support learners in their workplace roles, foster personal growth, and promote engagement in the learning process. If this qualification is used to fulfill the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), its validity extends for three years. After this period, learners will need to renew the qualification. However, it is highly recommended that learners refresh their knowledge annually to stay updated.
