I have worked in care for 33 years. I have worked in different settings such as care homes, domiciliary care, mental health, and 24-hour live-in care.

Through my time in social care, I have developed a passion for the training aspect of my job. I started training 7 years ago while I was working in 24-hour live-in care, this was in the placements that the care workers were in.

Since then I have developed, and I have done my first aid at work instructor courses, and I am currently finishing my AET in education and training.

The training I have been doing will assist me to train the care workers in the most up to date and safe training practices so they are able to carry out their jobs safely and they can progress in their own careers.
